About Sarah Croft Yoga
My journey into yoga began at the age of 19 when a friend and I decided to try out a yoga DVD. What started out as a bit of fun quickly evolved into a deep-seated passion. From that first session, I was drawn to yoga’s ability to blend physical movement with mental tranquility. It brought a sense of inner peace, strength, and clarity that I hadn’t experienced before.
After joining a regular class, yoga became more than just a routine; it became a part of my daily life and helped me get through challenging times, providing a sanctuary of calm in a hectic world. The transformative power of yoga, both physically and mentally, inspired me to delve deeper into the practice and its philosophies.
Dru Yoga became a focal point of my practice. This unique and holistic style of yoga emphasizes gentle, flowing movements, directed breathing, and visualizations designed to enhance both physical and emotional well-being. Rooted in ancient yogic traditions, Dru Yoga is accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. It focuses on building strength and flexibility while reducing stress and fostering a sense of inner peace. The sequences, known as Energy Block Release sequences, are specifically designed to release tension and energy blockages, promoting a harmonious flow of energy throughout the body. Dru Yoga’s emphasis on soft, yet powerful, movements makes it particularly beneficial for those seeking to improve their overall health and well-being in a gentle, mindful way.
In 2015, I qualified as a yoga teacher and have since expanded my training to include specialties such as prenatal yoga, yoga for kids and teens, breath coaching, and yoga for menopause. This diverse training has allowed me to support individuals at various stages of life, helping them harness the benefits of yoga tailored to their unique needs. In all my classes, I strive to make everyone feel welcome and valued, creating a warm and inclusive environment where students can become part of a supportive yoga family.
